Forget December
The
colours of fall die into a world of grey.
Snow and ice, cover me again everyday.
Frozen under every layer
I send up simply, just one prayer:
That you treat her as a queen,
Give her everything you denied me.
Keep the promises you make to her
And for me, to Forget December.
Disappearing, New Year.s night
Drowning in the falling white.
My eyes close, i.m listening
But your night.s music, muted, from my singing.
The cold surrounding, freezes me numb,
Still, i.m silently wishing for you to come.
I even knew, the hearts.s love to be sinister,
But still i can.t Forget December.
Stripped bare and left to be buried
Under the regret that you.re no longer worried.
This snow, so lovely, as my skin so pale,
I never had felt December.s tale
Of love and loss and memories
Of selflessness and selfish deeds.
But my burning heart won.t let me freeze
My fire locked away, but you still clutch my keys.
In this faded world, so full of grey,
I need you, but still i pray:
Turn her into your everything,
Give her all that makes you king.
All i.d craved, deny her not,
But show her love that burns bright hot.
What i have given up and lost
Now engraves in me, mean winter frost.
I knew of love when we were together
And for that, i must Forget December.
Snow and ice, cover me again everyday.
Frozen under every layer
I send up simply, just one prayer:
That you treat her as a queen,
