Memories
It was a dark grey morning,
And I was only passing through,
When I reached that unsullied stone,
My thoughts were filled with you.
The good times and the bad
Flashed before my eyes.
My best friend for always,
I remember how we cried..
We laughed and danced,
And bled and cried.
We sang until our voices died.
Endured the sun
Smiled in the rain,
Filled with sorrow, left to blame.
I was yours until the end of time,
I told you in the moonlight.
I smiled at you, so afraid,
But you pulled me close and held me tight.
I still remember those words you breathed,
Your voice sent shivers down my spine.
There was a sparkle in your eye, as you whispered
"You'll always be mine"
We laughed and danced,
And bled and cried.
We sang until our voices died.
Endured the sun,
Smiled in the rain,
Fell in love. Felt the pain.
Just a few years had passed,
We were so in love.
Out alone one night walking,
I saw you fall to the ground,
Blood pooling everywhere
From the knife, deep in your veins.
I'll never forget the last night
I held you in the rain..
I held you as you slipped away..
By your bedside, late that night
They said you wouldn't make it.
But I sat there praying, pleading..
But you could barely breathe,
And I was left to grieve.
And I remember..
We laughed and danced,
And bled and cried.
We sang until our voices died.
Endured the sun
Smiled in the rain,
Drowned in misery, felt no pain.
Oblivious, and gone insane.
A terrible wreck aboard life's train.
Now I stand at the edge of these cliffs,
Looking down at the rocks below.
The water splashing, thunder crashing,
I wondered if you would show.
Illuminated by the moon,
Dared by the storm,
Was it the wind that pushed me,
To death without warn?
And in those falling moments,
I remember…
I felt your touch of our first night,
Forgot the bruises from our last fight.
Tasted the sweetness of your kiss,
Not the cold on my now blue lips.
Heard your laugh and shivered at your voice,
Not the rushing sound of this last choice.
And in the end, not Death's embrace,
But I saw your angelic face.
It was a dark grey morning,
When they buried me next to you.
Two twin stones, stand alone,
We never made it through,
The good times and the bad
Flashed before my eyes.
My best friend for always,
I remember no one cried..
And I was only passing through,
When I reached that unsullied stone,
